Bridesmaid Styled Shoot: Arlington Washington

April 30, 2016

Bridesmaid Session

Our next blog post that I’m so excited to bring to you is a Bridesmaid Styled Shoot! This time we wanted to do something to celebrate spring, and all of the flowers and plants coming back to life after sleeping all winter, and one of the things we think of when we think of spring is Bridesmaids and all of their lovely dresses in every shade imaginable, pretty much like the flowers growing in my grandmas gardens.

We made this bridesmaid shoot a family affair, the session was done at my grandparents/parents estate, the makeup & hair was done by my cousin Michelle, Jeff was of course the Photographer, I put together the bouquet from the flowers & greenery blooming in my grandma’s gardens & the model was my lovely sister.

We had two dresses to model, one the epitome of a bright tulip blooming against the lush greenery of springtime, and the other a lovely soft and lacy dress bringing out the hues of soft lilacs and bleeding hearts growing in the shade.

Spring isn’t my favorite season, mainly because here in Washington you know how hard it can be to pick the right outfit for any given day! But I do love spring because everything is renewing from the long fall and winter seasons, the birds wake you up in the morning singing their love songs, and the rain is so soothing to curl up on our couch with a good book, snuggly blanket and hot cup of coffee or tea and settle in for some reading!

My sister was such a fun model, full of sass and spunky charm while wearing the blue dress to show how playful it was, to more elegant and sophisticated with the lace dress. And we couldn’t have asked for a sunnier day to do this shoot, thank you Lord for the sunshine! 😉

We hope you enjoy this session, I know we did when taking it!
