Christie & Sean are a beautiful couple and had such fun personalities that the whole room lit up when they entered it. It was truly amazing to have been able to help capture their wedding! Our absolute favorite things to capture are weddings, there is just so much joy, laughter and love that it is infectious and you can’t help going home feeling so excited and happy for them starting their journey together as husband and wife!
These Seattle wedding venues are both gorgeous and unique. The Ceremony was held at the Holy Names Academy in Seattle, an all girls academy that Christie had graduated from, this venue boasted some beautiful grounds and an amazing chapel that they became Mr & Mrs in. The Reception was just a short trip away at the one of a kind venue, a retired Ferry boat, the Skansonia! This is a stunning venue, full of vintage boat items and a one of a kind ceremony view with the Space Needle in the background, and with Sean being a graduate from WSU the Cougars flag was proudly flapping in the wind. Christie & Sean had such a gorgeous color scheme; navy, blush, gold and white flowed through out the day and it was beautiful.
As a photography team we never feel like we stop learning. One of the best ways we feel to learn new techniques and to help perfect ones we love is to be a second shooter for another photographer. I, Jeff, had the immense pleasure of second shooting for Jon Kaplan Photography last month for Christie & Sean’s wedding, and I have to say it’s a great pleasure to be able to work with a guy like Jon! Can’t wait to work more with him in the future, he does some amazing photography.
