2016 – Year in Review

December 31, 2016

With 2016 literally coming to an end tonight we thought it was the perfect day to share with you as Jeff & I look back on all that’s happened in 2016 for Jeff & Rebecca Photography. This is going to be a pretty long post so you might want to snuggle in something comfy and grab a cup of hot tea or coffee before reading more!

The biggest thing we reflected on was this week was the week last year that we decided we were going to jump into entrepreneurial ship and launch our own photography business! Literally on 1/1/2016 Jeff & Rebecca Photography became an official business! We started out with small goals and big dreams this year, to book 1 wedding in 2016 and then hopefully one day we would book enough couples each year to replace my corporate job income a bit!

Little did we know not only did we book 1 wedding for this year, we booked two for 2016! And to top it all off we also currently have 13 for next year! (Like seriously #JandRcouples are the BEST couples In the world!)

You guys…. Jeff & I were so overwhelmed with all of the amazing brides and grooms we met this year, like seriously each of you are making our dreams come true one by one! This business will hopefully supplement my income so I can stay home with our future children one day, so seriously thank you so freakin’ much for supporting us and allowing us to be apart of one of the most special days in your lives!

So not only did we want to gush over our wonderful brides and grooms this year, but we wanted to share with you some of our goals for 2017, and even some of our “bucket list wedding locations”!

Some of our top goals for Jeff & Rebecca Photography in 2017 are:

  • Book enough 2018 brides to where Rebecca can stay home full time when we have a family!
  • Do a Photography Workshop together (we have one booked for Feb that we are super excited about!)
  • Introduce some new blog series to go along with blogging sessions this year!

Our bucket list wedding locations for 2017 are:

  • Dairyland, Snohomish
  • Chico Hot Springs, MT
  • Diablo Lake Overlook wedding
  • A wedding in the snow
  • New Zealand (Hey a couple can dream can’t they?!)

Thank you all again to each couple and family we’ve met and also to all of the amazing other vendors in the industry we have become friends with! We hope you enjoyed our favorite pictures from 2016 in this post & here’s to a wonderful 2017!
